Common Questions
How will we be connecting in the future?
We will plan to use the same streaming approach for Sunday Mornings until Public Health restrictions are lifted.
How can I get future communications, including other ways the Strathmore Church will be connecting?
Updates are coming from the government and health officials daily, so we will continue to adapt and communicate if there are any changes.
Sign up using this form to be added to our mailing/text list to make sure you can stay updated.
We may also be posting some information on https://strathmorecofc.ca/category/news-events/
What if I don’t have an internet connection?
We would recommend to use Option #2- To Dial in and join over the phone.
Alternatively, if you are not putting yourself or others at risk, you may connect connect with a very small group of other members that does have online access.
Why are we making the Sunday Morning Stream private?
We want to take time to encourage eachother and share God’s word whenever we can. We certainly encourage members to use different methods to do that- phone calls, text, social media.
However, some of the services we are using to stream and connect have technical limits. As the primary purpose of our Sunday Morning Worship and Bible Study is for the encouragement of our members, we want to reduce the strain on those services.
We also want to recognize that we want to make the services accessible, which is why we’ve added options that do not require the creation of user accounts.
IMPORTANT NOTICE for all members of Strathmore congregation:
Given the requirements established by the federal, provincial, and medical authorities, to curb the spread of the COVID-19 virus, we as a congregation will make the following changes until further notice.
– The Strathmore building will be CLOSED on SUNDAY MORNING. DO NOT COME to the building on Sunday Morning.
– There will be an ONLINE worship service that will be available to members.
– We encourage all members to join us in our ONLINE worship, individually or in small groups.
– The link for the online worship will be provided to you.
Schedule for the ONLINE worship for Sunday AM:
10:00 a.m. – Bible study
10:45 a.m. – Intermission
11:00 a.m. – Worship Service
Please purchase grape juice and unleavened bread (or make it) ahead of time so that you may partake in communion.
NOTE: Sunday night worship and Wednesday night Bible study will continue as usual at the building, but attendance must not exceed 50. That is a requirement of the Government of Ontario.
Note also that all church programs (potluck, ladies class, men’s breakfast, couples group, teen group, Made Whole in Christ, and the baby shower) are cancelled for the remainder of the month as well as April.
For contributions you may:
– Save and put it aside your contribution until things are back to normal
